Doug MCGenn
President

Doug McGenn has an unparalleled amount of experience in the Waterpark Industry. He travelled all over the world for 15 years installing, and project managing the installation, of huge waterparks and waterslides. He worked next to an abundance of swimming pool companies and along the way acquired skills he never realized he had until he started building pools himself. He became familiar with many types of swimming pool construction including traditional cast in place, stainless steel and shotcrete.

He has constructed waterparks consisting of acres and acres of land from conception to completion all over the world. Many people do not realize this but Doug was also one of the many contributing hands on the dinosaur construction in Drumheller, Alberta.

After his many years of working with other companies he decided to form his own company with his wife. Since then Doug has been taking over the Hotel market with the ability to provide a turnkey swimming pool construction including the supply and installation of the necessary Waterslide component.

Kimberley MCGenn
Vice President

Kimberley McGenn started out as a lifeguard and swimming instructor in Regina Saskatchewan. She worked as lifeguard in many different places in Regina as well as Calgary. From a very young age she has enjoyed being in and around the water. For many years swimming and being lifeguard was her passion as she participated in many lifeguard championships and as well as Nationals.

This was a passion that naturally progressed into her business. Kimberley took on a head lifegaurd position in Calgary at a newly constructed aquatic recreational facility called Westside Recreational Centre. It was here where Doug and Kim met. Soon after Kim decided to travel with Doug to the United States and work for a swimming pool company project managing and building large stainless steel swimming pools, kiddie pools and lazy rivers as well as building some waterslides and play structures.

After a few years Kim returned home with Doug and they purchased a home in Westbank, B.C. It was here where Serenity Pools & Hardscapes Inc. was created.
